This quilt was made from scraps squares from other quilts I've made. Daryl has been watching me make quilts for so long that he was wondering when I was going to make him one. So this was one of his Christmas presents this year.
I grew up as a Commercial Fisherman's daughter in the beautiful pristine Prince William Sound, Alaska. As a life-long Alaskan, I have experienced all aspects of the Commercial Fishing Industry, worked for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and am now currently employed with the International Pacific Halibut Commission. I have personally witnessed the devastion of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill in 1989 and later became HAZMAT Certified to participate in oil spill drills and future disasters alike.
